Rates & FAQ
Transparent pricing.
No surprises.
I'd rather you know what to expect upfront. I work exclusively with self-pay clients — no insurance — and keep a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who are the right fit and for whom the full fee is a genuine barrier.
$175/session
Full fee · 50-minute session
Sessions are typically 1 hour in length. Billed per session at time of service. All major credit cards, debit cards, and Venmo/PayPal pay accepted.
I do not accept insurance. I can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement on a limited, case-by-case basis if your plan includes those benefits — contact your provider to check your coverage.

Sliding scale available. I keep a small number of sliding scale spots for clients who are the right clinical fit and for whom the full fee is a genuine barrier. If that's your situation, mention it on our consultation call — we'll figure it out together. I'd rather find a rate that works than turn away someone who needs this.

Frequently asked questions
Do you accept insurance?
No — I work exclusively with self-pay clients. This is a deliberate choice that protects your privacy, allows us to work without constraints on session frequency or modality, and keeps our relationship directly between us rather than mediated by a third party. I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement on a limited, case-by-case basis if your plan includes those benefits.
What does a consultation call look like?
A free 20-minute phone or video call. I want to hear what's going on, tell you a bit about how I work, and give both of us a chance to decide if this is a good fit. There's no pressure, no forms, no intake paperwork. Just a real conversation.
How often do we meet?
Most clients start weekly. As things stabilize or as life changes, we can shift to biweekly. The frequency is something we decide together based on what's actually happening, not on a protocol.
Where are you licensed? Can we work together if I'm not in Delaware, Maine, or Utah?
I'm currently licensed in Delaware, Maine, and Utah. Telehealth available nationwide. If you're in another state, reach out — I may be able to work with you depending on that state's regulations. Many states allow for short-term telehealth with out-of-state providers.
Do you work with teenagers?
Yes — I work with teens 16 and up, as well as their parents. I have extensive experience from my years in wilderness therapy and residential treatment. I also work with parents separately to support the family system, not just the individual.
What if I've had bad experiences with therapy before?
That's honestly one of the most common things I hear in consultation calls — and it's part of why I work the way I do. If previous therapy felt clinical, robotic, or hollow, I'd encourage you to try the consultation call. What I do is different. I can't promise it'll be right for you, but I can promise it won't feel like a checklist.
Can you prescribe medication?
No — I'm a licensed mental health counselor, not a prescriber. If medication feels relevant, I can help you find a psychiatrist or work collaboratively alongside one you're already seeing.
